Hung Yen: Stop organizing physical education, sports, cultural, artistic, and entertainment events in the province from April 4-5, 2025

On April 4, 2025, the Standing Committee of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 3215-CV/TU on holding a State funeral to commemorate former Lao President Khamtay Siphandone. The content of the Official Dispatch is as follows:

To express condolences to the former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Khamtay Siphandone, the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the National Assembly, the President, the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front have decided to mourn the former President Khamtay Siphandone according to the National Mourning Ceremony for 02 days (from April 4 to April 5, 2025); The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requests the Party committees at all levels, the government, departments, branches, sectors, and socio-political organizations of the province to implement the following contents:

1- Stop organizing physical education, sports , cultural, artistic, and entertainment events in the province from April 4 to April 5, 2025. During the National Mourning, agencies, offices, and public places will fly flags at half-mast according to regulations.

2- Strengthen information and propaganda to cadres, party members and people about the life, career and great contributions of former President Khamtay Siphandone to the revolutionary cause of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and about the friendly relationship between the Lao Party, State and People with the Party, State and People of Vietnam.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee requests that Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches, and socio-political organizations of the province seriously implement this.
