Accordingly, from the budget of over 26.1 billion VND provided by Project Management Board 6 (Ministry of Construction), the People's Committee of Chu Se district has paid support of over 20.6 billion VND to 178/217 households. Of which, there are 139 households in Chu Se town and 39 households in Ia Pal commune. The District People's Committee is completing documents and procedures for the remaining households to continue paying according to regulations.
The Ho Chi Minh Road Chu Se bypass project is 10.8 km long, with construction starting in May 2018 and completed in June 2019 at a cost of VND250 billion. When implementing the site clearance work, the People's Committee of Chu Se district recovered 216,000 m2 of land from 274 households.
Through the review, 217 households were not supported with training, career conversion and job search funding for affected people with a budget of more than 26.1 billion VND. The application of this land clearance policy is not in accordance with regulations, leading to prolonged complaints from people, asking for support.
Therefore, on March 8, 2024, the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction) issued a decision to adjust the investment policy, extending the implementation period from 2017-2024, and increasing the investment cost to more than 276 billion VND, adding more than 26.1 billion VND to pay for 217 households affected by the project.
