Bilateral conference between the interdisciplinary delegations of Nghe An and Polykhamxay provinces

On the morning of July 12, Nghe An Province (Vietnam) and Polykhamxay Province (Laos) held a bilateral conference to discuss and agree on the list of valid documents when people, vehicles and goods pass through the Thanh Thuy - Nam On sub-border gate. Attending the conference were comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and comrade Kham-ven Pan-nha-nu-vong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Governor of Polykhamxay Province.

In his welcoming speech, comrade Le Hong Vinh provided the Polykhamxay delegation with some information, characteristics and advantages of Nghe An province. In particular, Nghe An has nearly 470 km of border with Lao provinces, so the opening of secondary border gates is very important as a premise for the opening of main border gates and international border gates. In the immediate future, it will create conditions for people to travel to visit relatives, trade goods along the border, and develop the tourism potential of both countries.

The Standing Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee hopes that this conference will discuss and unify legal documents to open up connecting infrastructure to create conditions for people to develop the economy.

In the spirit of frankness, sincerity, trust, solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, the two provinces of Nghe An and Bo Ly Kham Xay have agreed on the list of valid documents when people, vehicles and goods pass through the Thanh Thuy-Nam On secondary border gate, including: a list of vehicle documents; documents of vehicle drivers, people on vehicles exiting and entering the country and documents of exported and imported goods and items.

At the conference, the two inter-sectoral delegations of Nghe An and Polykhamxay provinces signed a consensus. During the implementation process, if there are any difficulties or unresolved issues, the two sides will notify each other in writing or hold a meeting to reach an agreement.
