On the morning of April 30, Hoang Chau commune (Hoang Hoa) held a ceremony to announce and receive the decision to recognize the commune as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2023.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang presented the decision to recognize the commune as meeting advanced NTM standards to the Party Committee, government and people of Hoang Chau commune.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Le Duc Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the leadership of the Provincial New Rural Development Program Coordination Office; leaders of Hoang Hoa district and a large number of local officials, party members and people.

Hoang Chau is a commune in the Southeast of Hoang Hoa district, 10km north of the district center, with a total natural area of ​​1,235.22 hectares; the Ma River flows through it with a length of 2.8km. The commune has a favorable geographical location, abundant land and human resources, and many favorable conditions for economic development, especially brackish water aquaculture and coastal seafood exploitation.

In the process of building new rural areas, Hoang Chau commune has made efforts to promote local potential and advantages, done well in socialization work, mobilized and effectively used resources from both inside and outside to invest in infrastructure.

With the motto of mobilizing people's strength to build and construct new rural areas, many good and creative ways have been effectively implemented by Party cells, political organizations, and villages. In the period of 2019-2023, the total mobilized capital for building advanced new rural areas in the commune reached over 182.8 billion VND, of which people contributed 2.8 billion VND, and donated land to build welfare works worth 655 million VND.

From the support capital from superiors, local budget sources and contributions from the people, many welfare works have been invested in upgrading, repairing, and newly building to serve people's lives. The advanced NTM has contributed to changing the face of the countryside. Up to now, Hoang Chau commune is one of 9 communes in the district that has met the standards of an advanced NTM commune.
