Regarding the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, in 2024, 3 OCOP products were recognized as 3 stars (Doi Preng purple sticky rice, A Bung brocade weaving set, Thien Phu peanut oil). Up to now, the district has 7 3-star products and 3 4-star products. The District People's Committee has directed communes such as: A Bung, A Ngo, Mo O; Ba Long, Ta Long, Ba Nang, Dakrong to focus on developing OCOP products.
In addition, the digital transformation program in building new rural areas, towards smart new rural areas, has been focused on implementation. The whole district has established 13 commune-level community digital technology groups and 71 village-level community digital technology groups with 564 members. Currently, the community digital technology groups in the district carry out information and propaganda activities widely on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on digital transformation, building new rural areas to households and each person.
At the same time, propagate and guide people to install and master the skills to use digital platforms and basic digital applications such as: personal electronic identification, social insurance, electronic health books, mobile money accounts, perform public services on the online public service portals of the province, country, local authorities and create social networking groups for support and interaction.
Currently, the district has 10 commune post offices, 1 central post office in the town, 1 public internet and electronic game service business point, 3 postal delivery points (district post office, Viettel branch, economical delivery point), 7 points providing mobile telecommunications equipment. Regarding telecommunications infrastructure in the district, there are currently 3 network operators operating: VNPT, Viettel and Mobifone. Up to now, all communes have 4G and 5G BTS stations (a total of 82 stations/13 communes and towns). 76/78 villages and hamlets have fixed broadband internet.
The provincial and district post offices have supported bringing the district's agricultural products to e-commerce platforms: Vosco, Postmart...; the products put on e-commerce platforms are key products, products with OCOP certification... diverse in design, packaging, ensuring conditions, regulations on stamps, labels, and product traceability, so they receive the trust of customers.
People's activities on the Internet environment have recorded growth in both the number of users and the duration of use. The number of individual transaction accounts opened at credit institutions in the area is 14,081 accounts. The number of electronic payment accounts is 6,838 accounts. The number of people with digital identities/electronic identification accounts is 12,573 people. The rate of people with information and communication technology skills is estimated at 40% of the population.
In addition, the program to strengthen environmental protection, food safety and rural clean water supply in the construction of new rural areas has brought practical results to the people. Dakrong district has built a value chain to supply safe and quality food; prioritized the development of specialized areas, clean and safe agricultural production, building brands, geographical indications, and traceability associated with the program to build new rural areas and the program of one product per commune.
Propaganda work has been actively implemented by agencies through launching the Month of Action for Food Safety, organizing training and granting licenses for food business eligibility for establishments, organizing communication sessions to villages, organizing commitment signing for agricultural, forestry and fishery production and business establishments with a high rate (over 94%).
The district has 72 concentrated rural water supply works and small-scale water supply works, providing clean water for 89% of rural households. The collection and treatment of domestic waste is maintained and expanded to communes such as Mo O, Huong Hiep, Trieu Nguyen, and Ta Rut. The rate of solid waste collection and treatment in rural areas is estimated at 31%.
The propaganda work on classifying household waste has been promoted. Propaganda and training sessions on classifying household waste and collecting plastic waste have been carried out on occasions such as: World Environment Day, Campaign to make the world cleaner.
People continue to classify organic household waste as animal feed or fertilizer, and recyclable waste is collected and sold to scrap collection facilities. Centralized plastic waste collection models are replicated in villages and communes. It is estimated that the proportion of households in communes that classify solid waste at source is over 50%.
The results achieved are clear evidence for the effectiveness of specialized programs in building new rural areas in Dakrong district; not only improving material life, the positive changes also change the appearance of mountainous rural areas, bringing confidence and will to rise up for the people here.
