After 5 days (from May 17 to May 21) of enshrining at Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ba Sao Ward, Kim Bang Town, Ha Nam Province), the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni - the national treasure of India - were brought to Bai Dinh Pagoda (Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh Province) for enshrining at noon today, May 21, so that people and Buddhists can worship and pay homage.
The relics of Buddha Shakyamuni were carried from Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam) to Bai Dinh Pagoda by car this morning, May 21.
According to records, at around 11am, the Buddha's relics were carried out of Tam Chuc Pagoda to Bai Dinh Pagoda. At around 1pm, the relics arrived at Bai Dinh Pagoda for enshrinement.
Despite the very hot and humid weather, thousands of people, tourists and Buddhists came to Bai Dinh Pagoda very early, standing in the sun to pay their respects to the Buddha's relics.
