According to the assessment of the Steering Committee of Program No. 01-Ctr/TU dated March 17, 2021 of the Hanoi Party Committee on "Strengthening the work of Party building and rectification, building a clean and strong Party organization and political system of the City; promoting administrative reform in the period of 2021-2025", in the first 6 months of 2024, the Steering Committee focused on leading and directing the comprehensive implementation of key tasks and well resolving unexpected and arising tasks.

At the same time, directing the synchronous and effective implementation of the program contents. The leadership capacity, fighting strength of Party committees and organizations and the effectiveness and efficiency of government operations at all levels are enhanced. The role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations is increasingly promoted and operates practically.

The City Steering Committee also focused on leading and directing the acceleration of the implementation of three major tasks to create an important and solid legal basis to promote the breakthrough development of the Capital in the coming time, such as: Planning the Capital for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050, Adjusting the Capital Master Plan to 2045, vision to 2065; coordinating to complete the Capital Law (amended).

In particular, resolutely direct the acceleration of the implementation of the investment project to build the Ring Road 4 - Hanoi Capital Region. Select difficult and existing tasks to focus on leading, directing and regularly inspecting and urging. Proactively prepare for the 18th Congress of the City Party Committee.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the City Steering Committee directed the implementation of Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU with the establishment of 65/90 party organizations (reaching 72.2%), admitting 501/903 new party members (reaching 55.5%), of which 4 new party members are business owners. Attention has been paid to the development of new party members, admitting 5,472/10,260 party members (reaching 53.3%), of which 401 party members are students.

In the work of inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee conducted 2 inspections of 15 Party organizations and 11 Party members; 2 inspections when there were signs of violations of 4 Party organizations. Lower-level Party Committees inspected 699 Party organizations and 553 Party members; supervised 431 Party organizations and 566 Party members.

Inspection Committees at all levels have inspected 40 party organizations and 88 party members when there were signs of violations; supervised 399 party organizations and 467 party members on special topics. Party committees and Inspection Committees at subordinate Party committees have disciplined 10 party organizations and 593 party members.

The city's administrative reform continues to be identified as one of the key political tasks to effectively implement the 2024 working theme according to the motto of 5 "clear". Notably, a number of typical digital economic and digital social models have been actively deployed by districts, towns and cities, including some outstanding models such as: "Cashless payment", "Cashless social allowance payment", "Digital transformation in schools", launching iHanoi application...

Maintain discipline, principles and create consensus among the people

From the implementation practice in the locality, Secretary of Ba Dinh District Party Committee Hoang Minh Dung Tien said that, clearly identifying the importance of Program No. 01-CTr/TU, in the 2020-2025 term, the District Party Committee set out 138 targets for the entire term and 30 targets for 2024.

The district has effectively implemented Program No. 01-CTr/TU with specific actions. Meanwhile, implementing Program No. 01-CTr/TU as well as the working theme for 2024, the Standing Committee of Thach That District Party Committee agreed to submit to the District Party Executive Committee the issue of identifying the existing tasks, limitations, and difficulties that have not been resolved over many years.
