The Preliminary Council Meeting of the Vietnam Golden Star Award 2024 worked on the afternoon of October 25 in Hanoi.

The conference lasted for 3 hours, with the approval of the criteria system, weights as well as voting principles. This year, the candidate business's score was calculated based on 7 criteria, including total assets (weight 0.15%), total revenue (weight 0.2%), equity (weight 0.15%), profit after tax (weight 0.15%), budget contribution (weight 0.15%), ROE (weight 0.1%) and labor (weight 0.1%).

In addition to the main criteria, the Organizing Committee also determined the criteria for adding points, such as the enterprise having an independent audit report for 2 years, the enterprise having a form of reward in the last 3 years....

These criteria have been proposed by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association in collaboration with the Sao Vang Dat Viet Club, reputable entrepreneurs and businesses, and the criteria and weights to submit to the Preliminary Selection Council.

Immediately after, the businesses that pass the preliminary round will continue to be considered and evaluated to be selected for the appraisal round. According to the practice of the Vietnam Golden Star Award, the appraisal teams will directly come to work with the selected businesses.

Unlike previous years, this year's appraisal teams not only compared documents with reality, but also made additional assessments of digital transformation, green transformation, and corporate culture activities.

“Young businesses must also be pioneers in implementing new trends and development requirements, digital transformation, and green transformation. This is also what the Award must aim for,” said Ms. Luu Thi Thanh Mau, Council Member.

The 2024 Vietnam Golden Star Award will be launched from July 2024. According to information from the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, information about the Award will be deployed and widely communicated nationwide.

This year, in the list of candidate businesses, there are many businesses that have won the Vietnam Golden Star Award in previous years, strong brands, businesses listed on the stock market... There are many big brands with good business indicators. This is also the year with the largest number of participating businesses, with 293 businesses.

Based on the evaluation results, the General Voting Council for the 2024 Vietnam Golden Star Award will select the most outstanding enterprises to award the 2024 Vietnam Golden Star Award along with the titles of TOP10/ TOP100/ TOP200 - Typical Vietnamese Brands.

Mr. Dang Hong Anh, Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, pledged that the voting would be conducted fairly. The enterprises that made it to the final round would be publicized on mass media for evaluation and supervision by the community and the market.

“The winning enterprises will be the most typical enterprises of the Award,” Mr. Dang Hong Anh emphasized.

The 2024 Vietnam Golden Star Award Ceremony and other honoring activities will be held on December 24, 2024 at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.
