Gasoline price decreased, oil price increased from 3:00 p.m. on May 22 - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

The new gasoline prices were announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on May 22.

Accordingly, the price of E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 60 VND/liter compared to the previous adjustment period, the new selling price will be 19,120 VND/liter. The price of RON95-III gasoline will not be higher than 19,530 VND/liter, after being adjusted down 60 VND/liter compared to the retail price from May 15.

Also from 3:00 p.m. on May 22, the price of 0.05S diesel oil will not be higher than 17,400 VND/liter (an increase of 180 VND compared to the current retail price); The price of kerosene oil will not be higher than 17,310 VND/liter (an increase of 90 VND/liter compared to the current retail price). In this adjustment period, the price of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil will increase by 350 VND/liter compared to the previous period, the new selling price is 16,510 VND/kg.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, the world oil market in this operating period (from May 15 to May 22) is affected by factors such as: increased US crude oil reserves, new US tax policies issued by the US President for many countries, upcoming OPEC+ meeting on plans to increase supply... The above factors have caused world oil prices to fluctuate depending on the product in recent days.

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period on May 15 and the adjustment period on May 22 was: 84.560 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (down 0.112 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.15%); 86.838 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (down 0.190 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.22%); 93.208 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 3.268 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 3.39%); 93.290 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 4.836 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 4.93%); 489.698 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 5.800 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 1.17%).

This is the 21st time in 2025 that gasoline prices have been adjusted. Of which, RON95 gasoline has increased 10 times and decreased 11 times, E5RON92 has increased 11 times and decreased 10 times, diesel has increased 10 times, decreased 10 times and kept the price unchanged, and fuel oil has increased 12 times and decreased 9 times.
