Gia Lai deploys training for 7,500 semiconductor, AI and cybersecurity personnel

On July 15, Quy Nhon University held a press conference to announce enrollment information and launch the project to develop human resources for the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence (AI), and network safety and security in Gia Lai province for the period 2025-2030.

According to the project, Gia Lai province aims to train 7,500 highly qualified engineers, bachelors and experts to meet the needs of high-tech industrial development in the locality and region.

Quy Nhon University was assigned the key role in implementing the project, and will also be invested in a modern semiconductor laboratory worth 120 billion VND, serving intensive training and practice.

There are 4 main training majors according to the project including: Electronics - Telecommunications Engineering (major in microchip design), Technical Physics (processing - packaging - testing microchip technology), Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology (major in network safety - security).

Students studying these majors will enjoy many attractive support policies from Gia Lai province, such as: 100% support for credit loan interest rates at the Bank for Social Policies; principal debt cancellation if working for at least 3 years at specialized enterprises; granting scholarships for study encouragement and Vallet scholarships worth 30 million VND; priority for dormitory accommodation and internship opportunities at large enterprises such asFPT Software Quy Nhon, TMA, Fujinet Systems...

Also at the press conference, Quy Nhon University informed about the cooperation project with GEO Group (Germany) and O-Door Vietnam Co., Ltd. to build a training and human resource development center for renewable energy in the old Phu My district (Binh Dinh province), with a total expected investment of 50 million USD, on an area of ​​20 hectares.
