Pig price today in the North
On the morning of May 1, the Northern live hog market recorded a steady price trend in most localities. Specifically, the price in Tuyen Quang is currently at 66,000 VND/kg, while Bac Giang recorded 67,000 VND/kg. Although there was a slight adjustment earlier, this price has now stabilized again.
In provinces such as Hanoi, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh, the price of live pigs remained at around 66,000-68,000 VND/kg. The developments show that the Northern market is in a stagnant state, as pork consumption has not changed significantly during the long holiday.
Pig price today in the Central Highlands region
In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the market continues to show stability as most localities keep prices unchanged. Specifically, the price of live pigs in Lam Dong is currently at 74,000 VND/kg - equivalent to the common transaction price in recent days.
Provinces such as Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Thua Thien Hue still maintain prices at VND69,000–71,000/kg. After a series of fluctuations in April, this region is entering a more stable phase, reflecting that supply and demand are gradually returning to balance.
Pig price today in the Southern region
The South is currently the region with the highest price in the country, although it is no longer adjusted down as deeply as before. In Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Long An, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Kien Giang and Tra Vinh, the price of live pigs is being kept at around 74,000 VND/kg.
Some other localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Long, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Hau Giang still maintain prices at around 74,000-75,000 VND/kg. Although the market has not yet had any major fluctuations, there are still many factors that can affect prices in the coming time, especially when food demand tends to increase slightly after the holidays.
