This is a "leverage" for Hanoi to accelerate to achieve the goal of welcoming about 26.5 million visitors in 2024.
Many meaningful activities
On October 6, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being awarded the title "City for Peace" by UNESCO (July 16, 1999), the Hanoi People's Committee organized the Cultural Festival for Peace in the Hoan Kiem Lake area, Hoan Kiem District. The festival had nearly 10,000 participants performing many attractive acts. Such as the incense offering ceremony at the statue of King Ly Thai To; reenacting the first flag-raising ceremony in Hanoi on October 10, 1954, after the Capital was liberated; parade and introduction of typical traditional craft villages of the Capital: Hang Trong folk paintings, Chuong conical hat craft village, Van Phuc silk weaving, Bat Trang pottery craft village, Thiet Ung handicraft village, etc. The festival attracted thousands of people to attend, including many domestic and foreign tourists.
Also within the framework of the series of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival attracted more than 63 thousand visitors. In addition, the festival has gradually turned Ao Dai into unique products and gifts, carrying the meaning of sending love and pride in traditional culture.
Following the series of October 10th celebrations, there are still many meaningful activities, imbued with national identity, taking place in Hanoi, waiting for visitors to visit. For example, the Phung Hung mural space will take place until October 13th. This year, the space is decorated by the Organizing Committee in coordination with artists and researchers, arranging models of the ancient quarter, welcome gates, flags, banners, and slogans to serve the people and visitors.
Or at the Heritage House - No. 87 Ma May Street, the thematic exhibition "Stories of Hang Street" will take place until October 31.
