On August 22, the Organizing Committee of the Celebration of Major Holidays of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City opened a photo exhibition with the theme "From the era of independence and national unification to the era of national development" at the Revolutionary Traditional House, Vung Tau Ward (Ho Chi Minh City). At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City organized a photo exhibition at Nguyen Hue walking street and Dong Khoi street (Ho Chi Minh City).
The exhibition is held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The photo exhibition displays images summarizing the developments of the August Revolution in 1945, the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the victory of two great resistance wars against invaders, gaining national independence, leading the whole country to build socialism from the spring of 1975.
In particular, the exhibition shows the achievements after 50 years of national reunification in all fields, along with the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus, improving the efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency of the political system.
Images and documents showing “HCMC confidently moves towards a new era” include: HCMC, Binh Duong province and Ba Ria - Vung Tau are entering a “new era”, marked by major changes in scale, development orientation and strategic vision towards the goal of becoming a megacity, an important growth pole of the country and the region.

In addition, the exhibition introduces artistic images depicting beautiful moments of nature, people, cultural and historical relics, architectural art, and new Ho Chi Minh City sea tourism.
The images show the city's opportunity for breakthrough development, creating a potential, friendly, hospitable tourist super city, leaving a good impression on international friends and visitors.
In Vung Tau, the exhibition opens from August 22 to September 5, expected to welcome tens of thousands of visitors.
