After more than a week of exciting competition, the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association Football Tournament within the framework of the "Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Sports Festival" concluded on the morning of July 9 at Tao Dan Stadium. The Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association Football Tournament - Thai Son Nam Cup 2025 with the participation of 16 teams (including 4 women's teams), was held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

In the final match of the women's tournament, which was like a final, the women's team of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, due to the absence of many key players, had to accept a 0-3 defeat against the team of Phap Luat TP HCM. The young players of the inexperienced Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper team were unable to turn the game around in the second half despite creating many opportunities.
Competing for third place, the Saigon Liberation Newspaper women's team won in a penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw with SCTV in regulation time.

In the men's tournament, the Voice of Ho Chi Minh City (VOH) team defeated the VNEpress Newspaper team 9-3 in the final match to win the championship. In the third-place match, the Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) team came from behind to win 4-3 against the Lao Dong Newspaper team after being down 1-3 in the first half.

The Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association Football Tournament is not only an annual sports playground for reporters, editors and staff working in the field of journalism and media of press agencies located in the city, but also has many profound meanings for the profession, community and society. By improving health, relieving work pressure, and at the same time being an opportunity to meet and exchange in a vibrant sports atmosphere, journalist athletes demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and enhance cooperation in work and life.

The organizers awarded prizes to outstanding teams and individuals right after the men's football final. In addition to the overall titles, player Minh Thao (SCTV) was honored as "Football Beauty Queen". Striker Bach Thi Ha ( Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper) received the "Top Scorer Queen" award with 7 goals. The best goalkeeper of the tournament was Nguyen Phuong Thao (Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper) .
In the men's tournament, the Golden Boot award went to striker Le Viet Hang (VOH, 10 goals) while Vuong Thanh Binh (HTV) received the Best Goalkeeper award.
