The provincial National Assembly delegation collected opinions on draft laws submitted at the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

On April 22, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation held a conference to collect opinions on draft laws to be submitted to the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly. Attending the conference were delegates: Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Tran Thi Kim Nhung, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Law and Justice.

In the morning, delegates discussed and gave comments on five draft laws, including: Law on Judicial Assistance in Civil Matters; Law on Judicial Assistance in Criminal Matters; Law on Organization of the People's Procuracy (amended); Law on Organization of the People's Court (amended) and Law on Inspection (amended).

On the basis of high consensus on the necessity of promulgating laws, delegates clarified theoretical and practical issues and legal bases of the draft laws. At the same time, they gave comments on specific issues such as: Feasibility in applying digital technology, taking statements online, especially at the local level; the ability to coordinate interdisciplinary, especially between the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Ministry of Public Security, the People's Court, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the mechanism for supervision and coordination between provincial and regional People's Procuracies in performing tasks, ensuring no overlap; the process of judicial assistance between countries sharing borders;...

In the afternoon, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation collected opinions on draft laws drafted by the Ministry of Public Security to be submitted to the 15th National Assembly at the 9th Session. These include: Extradition Law; Law on Transfer of Persons Serving Prison Sentences; Law on Protection of Personal Data; Law on Enforcement of Criminal Judgments (amended); Law on Enforcement of Temporary Detention, Temporary Imprisonment and Prohibition from Leaving the Place of Residence; Law on Organization of Criminal Investigation Agencies (amended); Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Penal Code.

Discussing at the conference, delegates agreed on the necessity of issuing legal documents; at the same time, they gave opinions and suggestions on the current situation, arising issues, difficulties and obstacles, coordination in law enforcement and proposals and recommendations for each draft law, in order to overcome current limitations and shortcomings, to have a basis for comprehensive assessment, as a basis for reporting to the Ministry of Public Security to supplement and contribute opinions for the development of draft laws in accordance with practical requirements.

Through the comments at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, emphasized that organizing the collection of opinions on draft laws is very important, aiming to promptly institutionalize the major policies of the Party, the orientation of the Constitution, and at the same time reflect the vivid and multi-dimensional reality from specific fields. The Provincial National Assembly Delegation will absorb all the opinions of the delegates, synthesize the report and send it to the drafting agencies of the National Assembly. At the same time, she hopes that during the 9th Session, she will continue to receive comments on the draft laws so that the Provincial National Assembly Delegation can give timely opinions at the National Assembly forum.
