Investigation into the cause of death of a woman in TT-Hue in a well

On August 21, authorities in Thua Thien Hue province are verifying, investigating, and clarifying the cause of a woman's death in a well.

The victim was identified as Ms. Le Thi B. (born in 1978, residing in Le Ninh village, Hong Bac commune, A Luoi district).

Initial information, on the afternoon of August 20, relatives discovered that Mrs. B. was not at home, her sandals were left next to a deep well.

The family quickly organized a search for Mrs. B. but found no results. Suspecting that the victim had fallen into a deep well, they reported it to the police and local authorities.

After receiving the report, A Luoi District Police directed the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team to coordinate with related units to the scene and organize the search.

At around 8:30 p.m. the same day, authorities discovered Ms. B. drowned in a deep well in a dead state.

After bringing Mrs. B's body to the surface, the A Luoi District Police Department coordinated with the District People's Procuracy to conduct a crime scene investigation and request a forensic examination to determine the cause of death. Initially, it was determined that the main cause of Mrs. B's death was drowning.

According to the victim's family, from March 2023 until the time of the accident, Ms. B. showed signs of mental illness and had to visit a medical facility and receive medication.

The cause of the incident is being further investigated and clarified by the authorities of TT-Hue province.
