At this time, the project "Infrastructure for large-scale field production" in Hoa Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) is actively being constructed and accelerated. Specifically, this project builds a synchronous infrastructure system including: Intra-field roads, irrigation canals, and standard drainage to ensure synchronous mechanization, serving irrigation for over 284 hectares of rice (mainly for rice seed production) in Hoa Thanh commune.

The representative of the construction unit said: This project started on December 15, 2023, and has so far achieved over 80% of the volume. Specifically, 10 intra-field roads have been built, with a total length of 6/7.5 km, 1.6 km of irrigation canals and 27 culverts on the roads have been completed... It is expected that around May 2024, the project will be put into use.

In addition, the road connecting Lang Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district to Tan Son commune, Quynh Luu district, over 10 km long, is the "bloodline" route for transporting acacia and pineapple raw materials. However, over the years, this road has seriously degraded, causing flooding during heavy rains, causing the asphalt to peel off, creating "potholes", affecting people's travel.

To facilitate travel for people, at the same time, promote the development of acacia raw material areas, connect trade, and develop the socio-economy between the northern communes of Yen Thanh district such as Tien Thanh, Tan Thanh, Ma Thanh and some communes of Quynh Luu district. Since the beginning of 2024, Yen Thanh district has invested in upgrading this route.

Right from the start of the project, the construction unit deployed human resources and machinery for construction. Despite the steep and difficult terrain, the unit is actively weathering the road surface and implementing the next steps. Currently, the construction unit has weathered over 60% of the road. According to the plan, this road will be put into use at the end of 2025.

Currently, Yen Thanh district is focusing on completing other routes such as the route connecting the center of Lang Thanh commune to the canal, the route connecting Nam Thanh commune to Dong Thanh commune... Urgently completing nearly 10 reservoir projects concentrated in Kim Thanh, Tien Thanh, Dong Thanh, Vien Thanh, Ly Thanh communes... striving to store water for the upcoming summer-autumn rice crop.

To contribute to the implementation and completion of the goal of building advanced, model new rural areas, localities in Yen Thanh district continue to focus on investing in building new, renovating, and upgrading communal cultural houses and communal sports areas, cultural houses and village sports areas, and upgrading traffic infrastructure to ensure synchronization and smooth connection from hamlet and inter-commune roads to district, provincial, and national highways.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee added: The projects after being put into use have shown good efficiency, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the district. Up to now, Yen Thanh district is still facing many difficulties in site clearance for some projects. Specifically, the rescue road project is currently stuck with site clearance at the Testing Station and some households in Yen Thanh town. The compensation for site clearance for this project is over 40 billion VND, so much that the district is having to temporarily suspend the project.

The main road in the first phase of Yen Thanh town is also still stuck with site clearance, National Highway 7 passing through the district is still stuck with site clearance for many households... Site clearance is always a difficult and complicated field, but Yen Thanh district has actively implemented solutions such as: Focusing on explaining and mobilizing the people and promptly having solutions to remove obstacles, speeding up the progress of each key project.

Promoting the achieved results, from now until the end of 2024, Yen Thanh district will continue to consolidate, complete and improve the quality of the existing socio-economic infrastructure system serving production and people's lives in rural areas such as: Rural transport, electricity, irrigation, schools, healthcare, clean water, environment... Focus on investing in building new infrastructure associated with urban development, in which, priority is given to investment in transport infrastructure, industry, trade and services.
