Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the structure of the 2025 thinking assessment test

Accordingly, the total time of the test includes 150 minutes for 3 test contents: Mathematical thinking (60 minutes), reading comprehension (30 minutes) and scientific thinking/problem solving (60 minutes) with the test format being completely multiple choice on the computer.

The test will be held in several sessions throughout the year, and candidates will be granted a certificate of test results that can be used for admission to universities across the country. The structure and content of the thinking assessment test will remain stable for many years to come.

According to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, to comply with the new general education program of the Ministry of Education and Training and ensure the rights of students, from 2023, the school has adjusted the content and format of the thinking assessment test in a concise direction, eliminating thinking according to subject combinations.

The goal of the thinking assessment test is to assess three basic thinking abilities of students, including: Mathematical thinking, reading comprehension thinking and scientific thinking/problem solving - important factors that help students learn best in a higher education environment.

The structure of the thinking assessment test is as follows:

In 2025, the University of Science and Technology will organize 3 rounds of thinking assessment exams through objective multiple-choice tests on computers.

Specifically:

Round 1: Exam date 18-19/1; Registration opening date 1-6/12/2024

Round 2: Exam date 8-9/3; Registration opening date 1-6/2/2025

Round 3: Exam date 26-27/4; Registration opening date 1-6/4/2025

Exam locations: 13 provinces/cities including Hanoi, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Da Nang.

To date, more than 50 universities have used it for admission. Different majors can use the results of the aptitude test for university admission.

These schools belong to the fields of science, technology, economics, foreign trade, finance, banking, medicine, pharmacy; industry, agriculture, etc.
