(GLO)- Along with the need to explore the majestic scenery, enjoy the fresh air and experience the cultural life of local ethnic groups, many tourists also learn about and buy Gia Lai specialties for use or as gifts.

After staying in Pleiku City and visiting famous tourist attractions in the province, the group of tourists from Thanh Hoa province prepared to return home. Before saying goodbye to Gia Lai province, many people spent time researching and buying some specialties such as: ground coffee, white pepper, macadamia, salted roasted cashew nuts, Catecka tea, wild bitter melon, wild honey, lingzhi mushrooms... These are clean products, do not use chemicals, and meet OCOP standards.

Mr. Le Xuan Lap said: “I have visited Gia Lai many times to visit and experience. Every time I look for specialties to bring home to use and as gifts for relatives. Gia Lai has many quality specialties, delicious, safe and affordable prices”.

Unlike Mr. Lap, Vu Dinh Sau and his wife Truong Thi My Hanh traveled by motorbike from Ho Chi Minh City to Gia Lai. The scenery, people and culture of the Northern Central Highlands region made them passionate about experiencing and exploring. In particular, they favored and appreciated some local agricultural products.

Ms. Hanh said: “My husband and I are both traveling and expanding our business relationships. Seeing that some specialties here are of good quality and reasonable prices, I bought a relatively large quantity and sent it by car to Ho Chi Minh City to try selling. If the market there likes it, I will have a long-term business plan for the main specialties here.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nhung - a souvenir and Gia Lai specialty seller at the gate of Bien Ho scenic relic happily introduced to Ms. Hanh the OCOP products of the Gia Lai-GAUC Agricultural Cooperative.

Ms. Nhung excitedly said: “In addition to direct sales, I also sell via phone numbers connected to Zalo and social networking sites. Customers just need to call to negotiate the price and payment method, and I will ship the goods to their doorstep.”

One of the famous agricultural specialties in Gia Lai is tea, such as Bien Ho and Bau Can tea. Thinh Phat Danh Tra Company Limited (8D Le Lai, Pleiku City) specializes in trading teas originating from Gia Lai and Thai Nguyen provinces. The company also cooperates with famous tea companies in Thai Nguyen to exchange and trade in products such as Tan Cuong tea, Phu Quy tea, Tien Sinh tea, etc.

Ms. Pham Thi Mi - Director of Thinh Phat Danh Tra Company Limited - shared: "Customers who buy specialties in Gia Lai are mainly people from other provinces. They really like natural products, grown, exploited and processed according to organic agricultural standards.

To meet that need, the Company has produced and processed in a closed system, without using chemicals, with beautiful packaging, clear origin, expiry date, technical specifications, warning information... committed to the top goal of serving customers.

In order to contribute to tourism development and diversify product promotion, enterprises and agricultural and forestry cooperatives in the province apply high technology in production, processing and business.

Mr. Nguyen The Hung - Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union - said: "The whole province has 54 cooperatives applying high technology in production; 6 cooperatives are granted codes for growing and exporting durian, sweet potatoes, passion fruit... to countries such as China, the United States, Australia, Japan, Korea... Along with official exports, production and business establishments focus on diversifying products and quality of agricultural and forestry products to serve domestic consumption, serving domestic and foreign tourists when visiting Gia Lai".
