The 2-1 victory over Lao University (on the evening of March 30) helped Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism become the king of the 2025 International Youth Student Football Tournament - THACO Cup.
Coach Nguyen Cong Thanh and his team have overcome an extraordinary journey with 3 qualifying matches (defeating the runner-up Thuy Loi University on penalties), 6 final matches of the domestic tournament, and 4 matches of the international tournament to win both the Vietnamese and international student championships organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper.
In March alone, the Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism football team played 10 matches, with a frequency of nearly 3 days/match. "Because there is only one team, the players have to play continuously. The whole team is very tired, the last matches can only be played and practiced to maintain the feeling. However, we will always try," a team member shared.
Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism (red shirt) overcame the physical obstacle to play a fair final match with Lao University. Even though they were more tired, the Vietnamese representative was the better and sharper team when they led by 2 goals in the first half.

In the second half, when their physical strength was gradually depleted, Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism "burned" with mental energy. The players in red defended strongly and persistently to protect their achievements. Le Van Thuc and his teammates did not hesitate to throw themselves into blocking the ball, fighting with all they could.
