In a quick exchange with Thanh Nien , Mr. Doan Ngoc Thuan, an employee of Ngu Hanh Son scenic relic site, said that on the first day of the April 30 - May 1 holiday, preliminary statistics showed that the number of visitors increased by 30% to 40% compared to the same day last year. "The appearance of international tourist groups from cruise ships docking at Da Nang port has caused the number of visitors to increase dramatically during this holiday. Currently, the paths, cave areas... have been assigned more staff to support visitors, regulate and guide visitors to visit the scenic spot in the most comfortable way," Mr. Thuan informed.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, this year's holiday lasts from April 30 to May 4. During these 5 days, Da Nang City is expected to welcome a sharp increase in the number of visitors compared to the same period in 2024.
On the first day of the holiday, major tourist areas such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, My Khe Beach, etc. all recorded an increase in the number of visitors. Room occupancy rates at 4-5 star hotels and similar are estimated at 75-80%.
According to information from Da Nang International Airport, during the 5-day holiday, the city is expected to receive about 692 flights, an increase of 16% compared to last year, equivalent to about 138 flights/day. Of which, there are 285 international flights (up 10%) and 407 domestic flights (up 21%).
In addition, Da Nang Port also welcomed an international cruise ship to Tien Sa Port, carrying about 2,000 multinational tourists to visit famous places such as Ngu Hanh Son, Linh Ung Pagoda - Son Tra, Cham Sculpture Museum...
