Vingroup and Vietjet stocks soar, billionaires' assets increase sharply

On the first trading day of the week, the stock market showed excitement when the VN-Index closed the session up nearly 33 points, to over 1,528 points. The HoSE and HNX exchanges were flooded with green, with liquidity recorded at a high level, about 45,900 billion VND.

The market's growth was supported by the purple color of the "billionaire" group of stocks, including VIC (Vingroup), VJC ( Vietjet Air). Of which, VIC increased to the ceiling price of 127,300 VND/unit, VJC to 111,200 VND/unit. Along with VIC, VHM (Vinhomes) shares also increased by 2.56% to 92,200 VND/unit.

Notable information today that may be related to the increase in VIC shares is that Vingroup plans to invest more than 14 billion USD in a port and logistics area in Hai Phong. The project has a total area of nearly 4,400 hectares with a total investment of about 374,000 billion VND (equivalent to more than 14 billion USD).

The assets of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong - Chairman of Vingroup - increased to 11.7 billion USD, and billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Chairman of Vietjet Air - increased to 3.3 billion USD, according to an update from Forbes.

In addition, some other stocks in the VN30 group also hit the ceiling, such asSHB (Saigon - Hanoi Bank) or TPB (TPBank). These two codes recorded large liquidity, reaching more than 91 million shares and 58 million shares, respectively.

Many other real estate stocks also hit the ceiling such as NVL (Novaland), QCG (Quoc Cuong Gia Lai), HAR (An Duong Thao Dien)... In particular, Quoc Cuong Gia Lai has just announced its second quarter financial report, in addition to improved profits, it has started to pay off the debt of 2,882 billion VND related to Van Thinh Phat Group and Ms. Truong My Lan. The amount the company has paid is more than 100 billion VND.
