Shareholders sue company over small portions

According to CNN , the plaintiff accused the fast-food chain specializing in Mexican dishes of underestimating customer dissatisfaction.

The shareholder cited widespread social media backlash against Chipotle in the spring and summer of 2024, with celebrities complaining about the “highly inconsistent” size of dishes.

The plaintiffs allege that the defendants’ wrongful conduct and the sharp decline in the company’s stock price have caused significant losses to shareholders. The plaintiffs are seeking an undisclosed amount of damages and compensation for anyone who bought or sold Chipotle stock between February 8 and October 29. Chipotle did not respond to a request for comment on the lawsuit.
