Digital transformation in sustainable agricultural development

The Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Park hopes to work with experts to create practical initiatives, feasible models and long-term strategies in the digital age. From there, contribute to the formation of a digital - green - sustainable agriculture for Vietnam in general and the megacity of Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

On the afternoon of July 9, within the framework of the iTECH EXPO 2025 International Technology Fair and Exhibition being held at Quang Trung Software Park, Ho Chi Minh City, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agriculture Park organized a workshop on "Digital transformation in sustainable agricultural development".

At the workshop, experts from many fields of technology and agriculture presented papers such as: Technology equipment and some priority policies in the journey of digital transformation of agriculture; The power of AI agents (also known as artificial intelligence agents - a system or software designed to automate and perform specific tasks independently) in modern agriculture... and affirmed: Technology is playing a key role in shaping a sustainable and efficient agriculture. New technology is not only a tool to support production, but also a strategic resource to improve productivity, optimize costs, ensure traceability and open up opportunities to access global markets for Vietnamese agricultural products.

Earlier, in his opening speech at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Park, said that the workshop was an opportunity for technology experts and agricultural engineers to share experiences and introduce solutions for digital transformation in the agricultural sector such as: applying new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, big data (Big Data)... Through the workshop, the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Park hopes to work with experts to create practical initiatives, feasible models and long-term strategies in the digital age. Thereby, contributing to the formation of a digital - green - sustainable agriculture for Vietnam in general, and the megacity of Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien also introduced the contest "Innovative start-up in the field of high-tech agriculture in 2025". This year's contest focuses on technological solutions to improve productivity, quality, and traceability of agricultural products, thereby building a modern, smart, and sustainable agriculture. Under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the contest is organized nationwide, targeting 6 socio -economic regions and is determined to be an annual program until 2030.
