According to a report from Vinh Thanh district, as of April 10, the district has started construction and repair of houses in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for 287/287 households, reaching 100% of the implementation plan. As a result, 141 houses have been completed and put into use, including 92 newly built households and 49 repaired houses, reaching 49% of the plan. The goal is that by the end of May 2024, the district will inaugurate houses for 95% of the households supported according to the plan.

Notably, along with the support from the province, Vinh Thanh district has mobilized resources of more than 1 billion VND and 100 tons of cement to provide additional support to some households in difficult circumstances who are unable to respond. For households who are unable to do it themselves (elderly households, households with disabled people, households with sick members, etc.), the district assigned communes and towns to direct relevant departments to contact workers, advance funds and support households throughout the process of building new houses and repairing houses. In cases where houses are far away and difficult to transport materials, the locality mobilizes youth union members, women, farmers at the commune and district levels or the military to transport them to households in a timely manner.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that this is an important task, with profound humanitarian significance, contributing to ensuring social security, requiring the joint efforts of the whole community with the highest spirit and determination.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested Vinh Thanh district to continue to closely follow the implementation plan of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, in which the locality needs to focus on supporting households in real difficulty, especially policy families and poor households who are unable to pay. In addition, the district needs to proactively remove obstacles in disbursement, mobilize more resources from socialization and ensure the quality of housing projects.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan affirmed that Binh Dinh province has been mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, with the highest determination to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by May 2025.

Late in the afternoon of the same day, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan inspected the site of the project to renovate the forest protection patrol trail from the suspension bridge of Vinh Kim commune to O2 village (belonging to Vinh Kim commune). The project has a total estimated investment of more than 5.2 billion VND and strives to be completed before the rainy season this year. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee urged local authorities and relevant units to soon implement the project in practice to help people in O2 village travel conveniently, have conditions to develop the economy, and improve their lives.
