Proactively monitor and respond to storm No. 4 in the East Sea and thunderstorms, tornadoes, and lightning on land

Forecast at 7:00 a.m. on July 25, the center of storm No. 4 is at about 16.3 degrees north latitude, 119.5 degrees east longitude with the strongest wind at level 9-10, gusting to level 12. The storm changed direction to move east and then northeast.

Storm No. 4 is unlikely to affect the mainland and coastal areas of our country, but the eastern area of the North East Sea has strong winds of level 7-8, the area near the storm's center has strong winds of level 9-10, gusts of level 12; waves are 4-6m high, and the sea is very rough.

In addition, due to the influence of the tropical convergence zone with its axis through the North East Sea connecting with storm No. 4, on July 24, the Gulf of Tonkin and the central East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone) will have showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

On the night of July 24, the sea area from South Quang Tri to Quang Ngai has showers and thunderstorms.

During the day and night of July 25, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Lam Dong and the central East Sea will have strong southwest winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8; waves 2-4m high, rough seas.

On land, in the afternoon and night of July 24, the Central Highlands and the Southeast will have showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain (rainfall of 15-30mm, some places over 80mm).

Risk of localized heavy rain from July 24 to 25 with rainfall greater than 100mm in 3 hours. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

To proactively respond to storm No. 4 in the East Sea and thunderstorms, tornadoes, and lightning on land, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense of Da Nang City has just issued a telegram requesting the City Military Command, the City Border Guard Command, the Department of Agriculture and Environment to direct their subordinate units and the Da Nang Coastal Information Station and coastal localities to promptly notify owners of vehicles and boats still operating at sea of information about the storm so that they can proactively avoid, escape, or not move into dangerous areas.

The City Border Guard Command proactively manages ships going out to sea and organizes ship counting.

Armed forces units, departments, branches, localities and relevant units closely monitor the development of tropical depressions and daily weather reports, warnings of thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning... to proactively handle possible situations.
