The efforts of summer volunteer soldiers in Ho Chi Minh City
Commander of the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Summer Volunteer Activity in Laos - Truong Tan Nghiep said that the project is the sentiment and effort that the volunteers dedicate to the students of Attapeu province, especially to Kilomet Primary School No. 3.
"This is a gift from the youth of Ho Chi Minh City, hoping that you will have more playgrounds and living space after school hours.
We hope to contribute to strengthening the friendship between the youth of Ho Chi Minh City and Attapeu" - Mr. Nghiep expressed.

Mr. Culivong Cotnuxon, representative of the Education and Sports Department of Samakhixay district (Attapeu province), thanked the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union for organizing volunteer activities as well as cultural exchanges.
"I hope that in the coming time, there will be more meaningful projects supported by you for Attapeu province," he said.

Happy to contribute
As one of the Green Summer soldiers in Laos this year, Tran Thi Hoa Ha (Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts) said this was her first time participating in summer volunteering.
During her nearly week in the neighboring country, Ha joined the team to paint walls, renovate classrooms, and assemble indoor and outdoor game models to give to students. Ha and the soldiers also helped distribute medicine and gifts to local people.
"I feel very happy to be able to contribute my youth to the children and people here. I will try to participate in other volunteer trips to contribute what I know, creating more playgrounds for children which are quite rare here," Ha confided.
Along with the project, the working group also gave 50 backpacks to children in difficult circumstances and gave gifts to encourage the volunteer soldiers.
Starting from June 15, 120 summer volunteers from Ho Chi Minh City have set out to the two provinces of Attapeu and Champasak (Laos). The volunteer team in Laos is quite special as it is a mixed team of many forces.
Among them are 39 Green Summer soldiers, 22 Pink Vacation soldiers, 24 artists and 35 young doctors from Ho Chi Minh City Association. Among them, 45 doctors and 5 experts - lecturers participated.
Ho Chi Minh City summer volunteer soldiers together carry out a number of projects and social security activities in Laos, which is also a people's diplomatic mission to foster the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
