On the evening of April 14, the 17th Provincial Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress, 2025, took place in Quy Nhon City. 200 outstanding team members from all over the localities attended the Congress, bringing with them joy, pride and the desire to study, practice, and do useful things every day to be worthy of being Uncle Ho's Good Children.

Attending and directing the Congress were comrades: Le Anh Quan - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Deputy Head of the Central Youth Union's Children's Work Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, Director of the Center for Supporting and Developing Vietnamese Children; Le Kim Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Thi Phong Vu - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Le Binh Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Huynh Thuy Van, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Study hard and do useful things.

On behalf of the team members of the whole province, Dinh Nguyen An Quan (Le Hong Phong Secondary School, Quy Nhon City) and Huynh Thanh Truc (Dong Da Secondary School, Quy Nhon City) reported the outstanding results of the campaign "Binh Dinh children compete to study well and practice hard".

Specifically, in the past 2 school years, 355 teams, 3,985 branches with more than 220,000 children in the whole province have been educated about the historical traditions of their homeland, country, the Party, the Youth Union, the Young Pioneers, the cultural values, the fine traditions of the nation and the Vietnamese people with many rich activities such as: Meeting historical witnesses, lighting candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, caring for and supporting heroic Vietnamese mothers, 325 historical storytelling competitions, art performances, visiting and learning about revolutionary relics, and journeying to red addresses.

Team members also actively responded to programs and movements launched and implemented by the Team Councils at all levels and the Team Union, such as: Gratitude, Remembering the source of water, Thousands of good deeds... Notably, the Campaign "Binh Dinh children compete to implement well the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho" with practical and typical works and tasks: The Piggy Bank - Help friends go to school movement has saved more than 3 billion VND to help with transportation to school and support study corners, helping friends study well; building 15 "Red Scarf" houses...

Besides fundraising, the Thousand Good Deeds movement is also a bright spot because each year, the "flowers" of the Thousand Good Deeds Flower Garden are more numerous; there are even team members receiving the "Brave Youth" badge from the Central Youth Union.

As one of the team members honored as Uncle Ho's Good Children at the provincial level this time, Le Van Phat (Team Leader of Tang Bat Ho Secondary School, Hoai An District) is extremely proud. A year ago, when passing by Bau Dung ecological lake (Tang Bat Ho town), Phat discovered someone drowning. Not afraid of danger, he immediately jumped in and saved the victim.

“I think anyone in that situation would do the same! For me, doing good deeds doesn’t require anything big, just thinking about others, small people do small things, just like Uncle Ho taught,” Phat modestly shared.

Not only diligently doing good deeds, the team members of the whole province also actively practice and study with many exciting movements such as: Practical learning - Serious exams; Good grades; Practicing handwriting, practicing character; participating in competitions: Young Informatics, Youth and Children's Creativity, Journey of I Love Science, STEM Experience Day... both in person and online.

In the past 2 school years, the whole province had 2 team members winning the Kim Dong Award, 3 team members winning the title of Excellent Team Commander at the Central level, 21 team members winning the title of Excellent Team Commander at the provincial level, and 15,837 team members being honored with the title of Uncle Ho's Good Children at all levels.

Join hands to nurture "young shoots"

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, praised the efforts of the team members and children in studying, training and participating in the team work. She emphasized: The 200 team members honored today are bright examples of overcoming difficulties to study well, many of them have achieved high achievements in studying, competing, being active in movement activities and are young talents in many fields.

Acknowledging the children's growth, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong Vu requested that Party committees, authorities, organizations, schools and parents continue to pay attention, create a healthy and safe educational environment, focus on protecting children in cyberspace; increase investment in facilities, playgrounds, and appropriate educational content; and at the same time foster revolutionary ideals and belief in the bright future of the country for today's young generation.

“Uncle Ho used to have a lot of affection for children, considering them the future owners of the country. I hope that you will continue to strive to study, practice, and practice the five teachings of Uncle Ho, always be good children, good students, good team members, and good grandchildren of Uncle Ho,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong Vu kindly advised.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairwoman of the Provincial Youth Union Council Huynh Thi Thanh Nguyet said: With the motto "giving the best to children", the Youth Union chapters at all levels have had many timely support activities, especially for students in difficult circumstances. During the 2 school years, the whole province presented more than 15,830 gifts and promoted coordination programs, creating more living and training environments for children. This is the most practical way to accompany the team members to continue to study well and practice diligently.
