The 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor took place from December 1 to 3, 2023 in Hanoi, with the participation of 1,100 official delegates, representing 11 million union members nationwide. The Ninh Binh delegation had 12 delegates attending. This is an important political event marking a new development step in the emulation movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers; affirming the role and position of the working class and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in the new situation.

To practically achieve achievements to celebrate this important event, the Provincial Federation of Labor has directed all levels of the Union to widely deploy and encourage each unit to carry out a project or task aiming to contribute to improving and enhancing the material and spiritual life and working conditions of union members and workers.

At the same time, promote propaganda about the meaning, importance, goals, tasks, motto "Innovation - Democracy - Solidarity - Development" and preparations for the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023 - 2028; position, role, mission, maturity of the working class, Vietnam Trade Union organization through 12 congresses...

On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor signed a new cooperation agreement to implement the "Union member welfare" program with Doanh Sinh Trade and Tourism Services Joint Stock Company, offering a 30% discount on sightseeing tickets, meals, and accommodation for union members. At the same time, actively preparing comments on draft documents for the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Comrade Tran Kim Long, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: Attending the congress, the provincial delegation was assigned to discuss the content: The role of the Women's Union in building a prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized family. The Ninh Binh delegation will promote the sense of responsibility, bring the spirit and voice of union members and workers of the province to the congress, making a worthy contribution to the success of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.

Towards the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, activities to care for, encourage and share with union members and workers in difficult circumstances and to build a strong union organization have received special attention from district, city and industry unions.

Notably, the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union organized the program "Gifts from the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union" to visit and give gifts to nearly 50 workers in difficult circumstances, with reduced income due to reduced working hours at enterprises.

At the same time, organize visits, work and share difficulties with businesses; guide grassroots unions to operate in accordance with the situation of each unit. Actively encourage union members to participate in the online contest "Giving hope - sending trust" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Orient cultural and sports activities at grassroots unions.

On this occasion, the Kim Son District Labor Federation signed a cooperation agreement with Thien Duc Medical and Education Company Limited to support 2,000 free medical examinations for female workers and employees in the district. The Yen Mo District Labor Federation coordinated to support 30 million VND to build a "Union Shelter" house for union members of Athena Vietnam Shoe Company Limited; mobilized the establishment of 1 more grassroots union...

The exciting atmosphere of competition towards the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also spread to grassroots unions with many practical activities. In November, the grassroots union of MCNEX VINA Co., Ltd. (Phuc Son Industrial Park, Ninh Binh City) launched a donation of nearly 60 million VND to support the families of 2 union members in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses. Athena Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. (Yen Mo District) supported 10 million VND for union members to build "Union Warm House" houses...

Looking forward to the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, these days at construction sites and factories, the labor and production emulation movement has been launched and received enthusiastic response from workers and laborers.

At the production departments of Vienergy Company Limited (Phuc Son Industrial Park, Ninh Binh City), the production atmosphere is extremely busy and urgent. The machinery lines operate continuously; workers are working enthusiastically.

Ms. Vu Thi Hai Yen, Chairwoman of the Company's Trade Union, said: "The labor and production emulation movement was launched throughout the company, both to speed up productivity and completion of orders in the last months of the year, and to create a vibrant and practical atmosphere to welcome the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union."

In particular, during these days, Trade Unions at all levels in the province have stepped up propaganda work, especially visual propaganda to welcome the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress on all roads, agencies and units. Thereby, creating a vibrant atmosphere, while helping to raise awareness and responsibility of cadres and union members towards the Congress.

The practical activities of Trade Unions at all levels in the province have contributed to arousing pride in the tradition of Vietnam Trade Unions, promoting the responsibility of union members and workers in building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization.

We believe that in the new term, the Vietnam Trade Union will continue to affirm its role and position as an organization representing and protecting the rights of union members and workers.
