On the afternoon of May 1, Tay Giang District Police (Quang Nam) said they were temporarily detaining Mr. Alang Thi (46 years old, in R'cung village, Bhalêê commune, Tay Giang district) to investigate the act of resisting a person on duty.

Previously, at 3:34 p.m. on April 30, Special Task Force No. 08 of Tay Giang District Police was patrolling to ensure security and order in the district. When they arrived at R'cung village, they discovered Alang Thi riding a motorbike with license plate 92U1-013.21 with suspicious signs of having consumed alcohol.
The task force signaled to stop the car to check Mr. Alang Thi's alcohol level, but he did not comply, and continued to curse, threaten, push, and throw rocks at the police on duty.
The task force immediately restrained this man and took him to Tay Giang District Police headquarters for clarification.
The alcohol concentration test result for Mr. Alang Thi was 0.889 mg/l of breath.
