On January 10, the Investigation Police Agency of Kien Giang Province temporarily detained Mr. Nguyen Quoc Su (52 years old, Director of Kien Giang 68.01S Vehicle Inspection Center) for 4 months to investigate the crime of Receiving bribes.

Mr. Su was arrested due to his involvement in the violations of his subordinate Dang Phi Long (inspector). Long is the person who directly appraises the road motor vehicle registration documents for modified vehicles with design and design exemption.
Previously, on November 8, 2023, Long was temporarily detained by the Investigation Police Agency of Kien Giang Province along with 2 others for the crime of Forgery in work.
Expanding the investigation into the case, the authorities have now determined that Mr. Nguyen Quoc Su abused his position and authority, accepting a bribe of 28.5 million VND to direct his subordinates to falsify the acceptance records after renovation, issue certificates, and inspect 32 driving practice cars against regulations.
The case is currently under further investigation by the authorities.
