Principal and 5 teachers prosecuted for 'forgery in work' related to 10th grade entrance exam

On the morning of July 15, a source from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that through the work of grasping the situation, the Economic Police Department of this Provincial Police discovered that in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in the province, there were many candidates with unusually high exam scores, so they focused on verifying, investigating, and clarifying.

Initial investigation results of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police determined that at the examination council of Tinh Gia 4 High School, in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year, a candidate's exam paper had been edited, erased and had answers added to it.

Based on collected documents and evidence, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency has just prosecuted 6 defendants for the crime of "forgery in work", regulated in Article 359, Penal Code 2015. Thanh Hoa Provincial Police have not yet provided specific information about the identities of the defendants.

According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, the act of taking advantage of assigned positions, powers, and tasks to deliberately falsify exam results directly affects the reputation of the education sector, causes a loss of fairness for candidates during the exam process, and causes loss of trust among the people.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and expand the case to clarify the role, responsibility, nature and level of violation of each individual involved.
