The writing and photo contest "Social work in my heart" was launched from April 10 to August 31, 2024. The contest received great attention from authors with many quality and dedicated entries.

212 works by more than 130 authors were also more than 200 inspirational stories about the social work profession. The authors expressed their perspectives and feelings about the social work profession, and at the same time introduced examples of many practical actions and effective models to help the community.

From more than 212 entries, the jury of the writing and photo contest "Social work in my heart" selected the 30 best entries for the final round.

Author Huynh Huu Canh won the first prize of the contest (worth 20 million VND) with the work Understanding and love lead the way... 2 second prizes (each worth 12 million VND), including the works: Walking heart by author Dang Hoang An and Giving a smile, receiving many happy things by author Nguyen Quoc Dat.

3 third prizes (each prize worth 7 million VND) include the following works: 3 boys "invite" homeless people to live together by author Tran Thi Thuy Van; The policeman who is also a doctor and likes to meddle in other people's affairs by Chinh Dai; The journey of a 9X guy to repay life by An Dien.

In the photo contest, the quality photo award (worth 10 million VND) was given to the work Tireless steps for the two sacred hours of compatriots by author Le Quang Long.

Speaking at the award ceremony, journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Party Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, said that the beauty of the contest "Social work in my heart" is that the authors expressed their multi-dimensional perspectives and emotions about the social work profession, while introducing examples of many practical actions and effective models of community assistance, thereby contributing to arousing and fostering love and pride for the social work profession.

Social workers are always ready to help others, do not seek fame or profit, feel happy when they can share, listen and overcome difficulties together. They are also people who contribute to the community, participate in social activities and convey positive messages to everyone.

Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan also said that the organizing committee has collected outstanding works from the contest to print the book "Social work in my heart" to honor the noble values, the warmth of humanity of many examples from all over the country who silently help life day and night, continue to spread, inspire and give positive energy, contributing to building an increasingly better society. This is also a publication launched to welcome the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union (term 2024 - 2029).
