At 5:00 p.m. on September 24, the leader of Gia Dinh People's Hospital said that at around 3:00 p.m. on the same day, the Emergency Department of Gia Dinh People's Hospital received a case of a 23-year-old male patient (living in Soc Trang) who was a victim of a 4-story house collapse in alley 133 Binh Quoi, Ward 27, Binh Thanh District, admitted to the hospital in a state of multiple injuries. The patient suffered a fractured left femur, bilateral lung contusions, and head, chest, and neck injuries.
At around 4:00 p.m. the same day, the Emergency Department received the second case of the house collapse, hospitalized due to multiple injuries. This was a 31-year-old male patient. The patient was hospitalized with open fractures of both lower legs.

Both patients were given emergency treatment and urgently consulted by many specialties such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, thoracic vascular surgery, etc. in a hospital-level red alert situation. Currently, the two patients have been transferred to the Department of Anesthesia and Resuscitation for continued emergency treatment, surgery, and intensive care.

Previously, speaking to Thanh Nien reporter, Dr. Tran Trung De, Director of Binh Thanh District Hospital, said that the hospital received 6 victims of the 4-storey building collapse. Of these, 2 serious cases were transferred to Gia Dinh People's Hospital.
4 cases were taken care of in the resuscitation room of the Emergency Department of Binh Thanh District Hospital, with minor injuries, stable health and no special symptoms were recorded.
By around 5:30 p.m., two victims were in stable health and had been discharged from the hospital. One victim said that there were nine people in the house when the house collapsed, and there were no signs that the house was about to collapse. This person added that his health is currently stable, with only superficial injuries.
The victims of this four-story building collapse were told not to contact the press.

Preliminary information from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07, Ho Chi Minh City Police), the unit has mobilized 7 specialized vehicles and 42 officers and soldiers to the scene for search and rescue. Colonel Huynh Ngoc Quan, Deputy Head of PC07, directly went to the scene to command the search and rescue work.
The initial cause was that the house was under repair and tilted and collapsed. The property damage was the complete collapse of the house.
