Accordingly, the 82 years of the Traditional Day of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper (Cuu Quoc - Giai Phong - Dai Doan Ket) is a glorious historical journey always associated with the cause of fighting, protecting, building and developing the country. Cuu Quoc Newspaper is the agency of the Viet Minh General Department, born in a small house in Xuan Ky village (now Soc Son - Hanoi). The first newspaper had the honor of publishing articles by President Ho Chi Minh after the August Revolution in 1945.

Many important Vietnamese documents were first published in the newspaper Cuu Quoc, such as the Declaration of Independence of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945, the first Constitution of the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1946, President Ho Chi Minh's call for national resistance, etc. Many leaders of the Party and State participated in directing, editing, and writing articles at Cuu Quoc Newspaper, such as General Secretary Truong Chinh, Xuan Thuy, Thep Moi, etc., along with leading Vietnamese writers.

Dai Doan Ket Newspaper with its long history, revolutionary tradition and strong force present throughout the country, with a team of journalists and reporters who are always soldiers on all fronts, closely following the breath of life.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, said: "Dai Doan Ket Newspaper is one of the leading newspapers in the Vietnamese revolutionary press in terms of age and prestige. With a tradition of 82 years, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper has made important contributions to the cause of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism. The prestige and reputation of the newspaper and the people working for Dai Doan Ket Newspaper through the ages have portrayed and created the history of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism. We are truly proud of the glorious and brilliant tradition of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper".

The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department also said that at any time, in any stage, any newspaper has difficulties and challenges that the newspaper, the Editorial Board and journalists must face. That is the rapid development of technology with cross-border media platforms; the difficulty of the press economy when competition for information, advertising and communication is narrowed; the problem of managing the team of reporters in the context of practical needs is always a challenge and pressure for writers,...

Towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Mr. Lam also suggested that the greatest gift that Dai Doan Ket Newspaper gives to the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front and readers is professionalism, modernity and humanity.
