Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the percentile table of competency assessment scores according to 5 main groups using the 2025 high school graduation exam scores. Specifically, the groups include: A00 (math-physics-chemistry), A01 (math-physics-English), B00 (math-chemistry-biology), C01 (math-literature-physics), D01 (math-literature-English).

Thus, compared to the previous announcement, the percentile table of the 2025 capacity assessment test scores and high school graduation exam scores has an additional combination A00.

Previously, on July 23, Ho Chi Minh City National University sent a dispatch to the Ministry of Education and Training on the framework for converting admission scores based on the capacity assessment test scores to admission scores based on the 2025 high school graduation exam scores. According to this document, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the percentile of the 2025 capacity assessment test scores at the same time as the framework for converting admission scores based on the capacity assessment test scores to admission scores based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores. However, the new conversion framework was announced for 4 subject groups: A01 (math, physics, English); B00 (math, chemistry, biology); C01 (math, literature, physics); D01 (math, literature, English).

In 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam attracted about 152,800 candidates. The average score of candidates in both rounds was 662.78 (on a scale of 1,200). The results were used by more than 110 universities and colleges for admission. The conversion table of the equivalent scores of the competency assessment exam and the high school graduation exam in 2025 is the basis for converting university admission scores this year.
