According to the hospital, on the afternoon of August 20, the unit received the two patients in a state of numbness of the lips, tongue, vomiting, and foaming at the mouth. Mr. H. also showed symptoms of paralysis of the arms and legs, suspected of poisoning from eating puffer fish.
Doctors immediately transferred the two patients to the intensive care unit. On the afternoon of August 21, the two patients regained consciousness and were transferred to the Internal Medicine Department for further health monitoring.

According to Ms. H, at noon on August 20, she and her husband and a friend ate puffer fish stewed with rice noodles. About 30 minutes after eating, Ms. H and her husband showed symptoms of poisoning. The friend who ate with them was in good health.
According to the patient, her family had eaten this type of fish before but no one was poisoned. Meanwhile, doctors at Binh Thuan General Hospital recommend that you absolutely do not eat any type of puffer fish, because this type of fish has very strong toxins, directly threatening human life.
