The meeting took place on the afternoon of August 22 in Hanoi.
The meeting was chaired by comrades: Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Dinh Thi Mai; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang; Major General Tong Van Thanh, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics of the People's Army.
Regarding the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said that the exhibition "Vietnam's Achievements - 80 Years of Independence, Innovation and Development" is an event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, affirming Vietnam's position in the international arena and inspiring the younger generation with national pride. This is an opportunity for the public to look back on a difficult but also extremely glorious historical journey, thereby strengthening their belief in the bright future of the country. The exhibition has the theme "80 Years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness".
The exhibition will take place from August 28 to September 5 at the National Exhibition Center, Dong Anh, Hanoi. The opening ceremony will take place at 9:00 a.m. on August 28. The closing ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on September 5.
The exhibition introduces and displays the country's outstanding achievements in 80 years of construction and development in various fields, especially key areas such as: Industry - technology; investment - trade; agriculture - rural areas; security - defense; foreign affairs; health, education; culture, sports and tourism. The exhibition also introduces the country, culture and people of Vietnam; the rich cultural diversity of 54 ethnic groups; the abundance of resources, products of the three regions and outstanding architectural works past and present across the country.
The exhibition introduces green industries and Vietnam's green transformation and digital transformation journey; aviation and aerospace industries, security - defense and space industries; and 12 Vietnamese cultural industries.

The exhibition format is large panels, photos, drawings, documents, artifacts combined with 3D mapping projections, virtual reality experiences, multimedia audiovisual works, digital technology applications, AI... Exhibition layout: According to large content areas such as: General exhibition area; Green economic zone, clean energy and green industries; Aviation and space industry zone; Security - defense industry zone; International zone and 12 cultural industry zones. The exhibition uses the entire indoor and outdoor exhibition area of the National Exhibition Center, including 250,900.6m2.
At the press conference, the Organizing Committee discussed with the press many contents such as preparation work, detailed information of events... Accordingly, within the framework of the exhibition, there are many supporting programs and activities. Specifically, the music program "Rang ro Viet Nam" took place on August 9-10. The program "8Wonder Co Loa" (August 23) has tickets for sale. The community run "Vietnam toi do" (August 24). The art program "Vietnam in the heart" (August 26).
