The program "Early Spring in the Highlands" - Lunar New Year 2025 was held in Bac Ly commune - where the rate of poor and near-poor households is over 98% to encourage people, create a spread of compassion in the community, promote the tradition of "mutual love and support" of the nation to join hands to support and help the poor, especially in remote and border areas, ensuring that every household and every person has the conditions to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet.

Speaking at the program, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung sent sincere greetings, close feelings and best wishes for the New Year to village elders, village chiefs, prestigious people, and all the people.

The Provincial Party Secretary assessed that "Early Spring in the Highlands - Lunar New Year 2025" is a very meaningful program, part of the Tet program series for the poor in the Spring of At Ty 2025 organized by the province.

Expressing his joy at participating in the program, the Provincial Party Secretary assessed that the preparations for people to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet were fully taken care of by the Party Committee and authorities of Ky Son district, Bac Ly commune, My Ly commune in coordination with the armed forces.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung delivered a New Year speech at the program.

There are only 20 days left to celebrate the traditional Tet At Ty, according to traditional customs, this is the time when families gather and the community unites. The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the Party committees and authorities from the province to the commune are very concerned and worried with the wish that everyone and every family can celebrate Tet in a full, cozy, safe, healthy and joyful way.

In that spirit, over the years, Nghe An province has organized very thoughtful care for people in general and people in difficult circumstances in particular.

Up to now, Nghe An province has continuously organized the Tet program for the poor for 12 years and has mobilized and called for support from organizations, individuals, businesses, and philanthropists with a budget of 872 billion VND to take care of Tet for the poor, with the goal of having each household receive Tet gifts, demonstrating the care and concern of Party committees and authorities at all levels.

Emphasizing that Nghe An is a province with a large area, mountainous areas, and many difficulties for ethnic minorities, the rate of poor households in the whole province accounts for 4.17%, the rate of near-poor households accounts for 5.42%, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that the organization of the program "Early Spring in the Highlands" for people in the two communes of Bac Ly and My Ly shows the attention and care for people to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet of the Party Committees and authorities at all levels.

The Provincial Party Secretary sincerely thanks the generosity of organizations, businesses, philanthropists, and volunteer organizations that have joined hands with the Party Committee and government to take care of Tet for people, especially people in mountainous areas and ethnic minorities.

Immediately after the program, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Party Committee and authorities of Ky Son district and the two communes of Bac Ly and My Ly to soon send gifts to the people; at the same time, the Party Committees and authorities of the communes should pay attention to building many models of economic development and poverty reduction so that people can gradually overcome difficulties.

Along with that, Party committees and authorities at all levels closely coordinate with the armed forces to ensure security and order, border security, national sovereignty, and ensure that people have a safe and healthy Tet holiday; the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee continues to coordinate with agencies and units to organize many programs like this in localities so that many people can participate.

At the program, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Vo Thi Minh Sinh presented a symbolic sum of more than VND 3 billion to Ky Son district, including Tet gifts for the poor, funds to support the construction of Great Unity houses and livelihood support for the poor. The Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police also presented VND 2.1 billion in Tet gifts to the people of Ky Son.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Vo Thi Minh Sinh presented more than 3 billion VND in Tet gifts to the poor in Ky Son district and funds to buy breeding animals for poor households with special difficulties to develop the economy and reduce poverty sustainably.

Also at the program, many Tet gifts and bicycles were given to students in the programs "Helping children go to school" and "Adopted children of Border Guard Station".

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long and Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command, Colonel Nguyen Cong Luc, presented gifts to students in the border guard adoption program.

Major General Bui Quang Thanh - Director of the Provincial Police Department presented 1,000 gifts from the Ministry of Public Security and 1.6 billion VND in Tet gifts from the Provincial Police Department to the poor in Ky Son district.

Units, organizations and philanthropists give Tet gifts to the poor and near-poor in Ky Son district.
