1. Drink 1 glass of water 30 minutes before eating

30 minutes before dinner, you should drink about 300ml of water to fill your stomach, limit overeating. You should also eat liquid foods first and then eat salty foods.

2. Choose foods with a low GI index

The Glycemic Index (GI) reflects the impact of food on blood sugar. Foods with a high GI will cause blood sugar to rise more quickly, making you hungry faster and crave more food.

For dinner, choose foods with a low GI index such as brown rice, sweet potatoes, corn, pumpkin... instead of white rice, bread, noodles, pho... to limit weight gain.

3. 50% of meals are green vegetables

Dinner should consist of 50% green vegetables to add fiber, help you feel full longer, and reduce cravings. Green vegetables often provide low calories and do not cause weight gain.

4. Limit fat

To lose weight, you should limit the use of fat. Especially, at dinner, avoid fried foods. You should eat boiled or steamed foods so that the body can absorb maximum nutrients, easy to digest, and avoid excess fat accumulation.

5. Don't have sweet desserts

After dinner, you should not have sweet desserts. These cakes contain high calories and sugar, which can easily cause high blood sugar, weight gain, and excess fat accumulation.

6. Drink warm mint tea after dinner

Nutritionists recommend drinking mint tea after dinner to promote digestion and reduce bloating.

Research also shows that peppermint scent helps create a feeling of relaxation, suppresses appetite, and helps you limit snacking at night.

Peppermint tea also helps improve sleep quality and effectively supports weight loss.

7. Don't eat dinner too late

The ideal time for dinner is 6-8pm. Do not eat dinner too late so that the body has enough time to metabolize energy and limit fat accumulation.

If you have to eat late at night, you should not eat too much, only eat until you are about 50% full.
