On the evening of August 10, the concert "Fatherland in the Heart" took place at My Dinh National Stadium, attracting 50,000 spectators.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association - emphasized that Fatherland in the Heart is not only a simple art program, but also a symphony of patriotism combining music, stage performance and art.
“The Fatherland - two sacred words, is not only the place where we were born and raised, but also contains the traditions, culture, and history of the nation. Therefore, the Fatherland is always in the heart of each person, always a source of pride to continue the glorious past, create humanistic values in the present, and reach for a brilliant future,” said Mr. Le Quoc Minh.
In more than 2 hours, the program "Fatherland in the Heart" is divided into three chapters, recreating the 80-year history of building, defending and developing the country of the Vietnamese people.
In chapter 1 - "The Shape of the Country", the audience was moved by songs praising the revolution and the nation's long war such as "August 19", "National Defense Corps", "Paratrooper Call", "The Road to the Front".
In chapter 2, the songs "Proud Melody", "Continue writing the story of peace ", "Who loves Uncle Ho Chi Minh more than children", "Uncle Ho, the one who gives me everything" that are familiar to many generations of Vietnamese people resounded, arousing patriotism in each audience.
Chapter 3, titled "Fatherland in the Heart," concluded the program with many vibrant, emotional performances such as "I Love Vietnam," "Next Life Still a Vietnamese," and "A Round of Vietnam."
In particular, the appearance of famous singers such as Toc Tien, Thanh Duy, Ha Le combined with veteran artists such as People's Artist Thu Huyen and Meritorious Artist Dang Duong bring diverse and rich musical experiences.
Closing the program, the song "As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory" resounded, blending with the explosive atmosphere of thousands of people.
Interspersed with artistic performances, the audience had the opportunity to admire the parade of 68 soldiers who represented the Vietnamese armed forces in the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War at Red Square (Russia).
In addition, outstanding sports figures who have helped Vietnam shine in international arenas were also honored in the program.
The athletes welcomed by the audience on stage were Le Van Cong - the first athlete of Vietnamese disabled sports to win a medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics; Nguyen Thi Anh Vien - the famous "swimmer" of Vietnamese swimming, a symbol of perseverance and conquest; Nguyen Quang Hai - who made a historical mark for the country's football; Karate athlete Nguyen Ngoc Tram - the owner of the 19th ASIAD gold medal and 2025 Asian champion; shooter Pham Quang Huy - the first Vietnamese athlete to win a gold medal in shooting at the ASIAD.
Coming to the show, the audience sang together immortal songs, lighting up the flash lights turning the stadium into a sparkling sea of light. Each person was not just an audience, but a part of the show, a heartbeat in the heart of the Fatherland, dyeing the stage red with meaning.
