Thu Duc People's Committee has just announced information on organizing the 2nd Thu Duc City Half Marathon in 2024 to celebrate the 4th anniversary of the city's founding (January 1, 2021 - January 1, 2025).

The 2nd Thu Duc City Half Marathon 2024 (THU DUC CITY RUN 2024) is an annual iconic sporting event of Thu Duc City, organized by the Thu Duc City People's Committee. Implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Athletics Federation, HAPI & Delta Event Company, and sponsored by SonKim Group.

The race takes place from November 30 to December 1, 2024 at Saigon Riverside Park (Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City).

THU DUC CITY RUN 2024 is expected to attract about 4,000 athletes to participate in distances of 1.5km, 3km, 5km, 10km, 21km.

Participating in the THU DUC CITY RUN 2024, athletes have the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air with unique riverside routes, capturing the most beautiful moments of Thu Duc City.

In particular, participants will spread green energy together in environmental programs and meaningful social activities right at the race such as recycling plastic bottles and waste into useful items.

Through the activity of accompanying each other to the finish line, the THU DUC CITY RUN 2024 race hopes to bring a dynamic community, a healthy lifestyle, creating a strong spirit through 4 main messages: "Run together - Have fun together - Live green together - Share together".

This race helps create a playground for cultural, sports, tourism and entertainment exchanges for domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Ho Chi Minh City in general and Thu Duc City in particular.
