On the evening of September 1, at the Hanoi Opera House, the special art program "Independence Star" 2023 took place on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The program is jointly organized by the Hanoi Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee, Communist Magazine, Nhan Dan Newspaper and the State Bank of Vietnam.

The organizers said that the 2023 "Independence Star" art program has many new and creative features.

The program harmoniously represents artistic elements and political significance, reflecting in general and focusing on the 78-year process of independence and autonomy, steadfastly following the path of socialism of our country since the August Revolution and National Day September 2, 1945.

The 2023 "Independence Star" program consists of two parts, representing two stages: "Revolutionary autumn - the whole nation unites and builds independence" and "Autumn of aspiration - the whole country firmly believes and perseveres towards success".

The parts are elaborately staged, attractive in both singing and dancing, along with many vivid documentary images on the LED screen, creating a tight whole.

The program has the participation of many famous artists: Dang Duong, Khanh Linh, Dong Hung, Bao Tram and artists of Thang Long Music and Dance Theater...

Part 1 opens with the report "Aspiration for Independence". The report tells the story of former Hoa Lo prisoners who secretly used blankets as national flags and sang the national anthem together on New Year's Eve. Through this, we can see the patriotism of the Vietnamese people and the spirit of revolutionary soldiers.

In prison, despite being brutally tortured by the enemy, the revolutionary's will was not extinguished but grew stronger, yearning for the day the country would be independent and every citizen would be free.

Within the framework of the program, Party and State leaders presented flowers and gifts to express gratitude to revolutionary veterans from Tuyen Quang and Hanoi and commended officers and soldiers of the Navy.

Interspersed in the program, the audience enjoyed artistic performances with heroic revolutionary songs, youth music songs, and lyrical music such as: Medley "Viet Minh Flag - August Flag", "Guerrilla on Thao River", "Tuyen Quang Forest in Tan Trao's Shadow", Medley "Liberating Dien Bien - Marching to Hanoi"...

Part 2 of the program has the theme "Confidently and persistently step towards success". The audience has the opportunity to enjoy performances such as: "The country's melody", "The vast new road - Proudly marching under the party's flag", "The mountains and rivers of the South", "My Vietnam", "Please bow, please be grateful", "The will of Vietnam"...

The highlight of part 2 is a reportage called "Vietnamese Courage". The reportage reviews some of the difficult stages the country has faced since gaining independence until now.

But every time we encounter difficulties, the whole nation becomes more united. Under the leadership of the Party, the whole nation overcomes difficulties and achieves important achievements.

With unique artistic content, the art program "Independence Star" brought the audience heroic moments of pride, gratitude, faith and aspiration to join hands in building a strong and prosperous country.
