On October 17, Facebook spread a photo of a handwritten letter from female student Tran Bang Nhi (class 7A, Phan Dinh Phung Secondary School, Vu Quang district, Ha Tinh province) with the wish to ask for a scholarship for her classmate.
According to Dan Tri reporter's investigation, female student Bang Nhi wrote this letter to Mr. Hoang Trong Thuy - Chief Representative of Zhi Shan Foundation (a non-governmental organization with projects to support health and education for children in difficult circumstances in many countries, including Vietnam).
After receiving this handwritten letter, Mr. Thuy expressed his emotion and shared the story on social networks.

In the opening letter, Bang Nhi sent greetings and shared that he felt like a lucky and happy child to be loved by his parents and to study in a wonderful environment with teachers and friends.
"I was able to learn to draw and play the sport I love. Although my family is not rich, perhaps the best things my parents have given us are the things my parents have given me. My brother said, our family is poor but happy, right?
And I suddenly realized that happiness is something as simple as that! But uncle! There are some people who do not have that joy. Today I want to share the story of a classmate of mine and hope you can help me!", Bang Nhi presented.
The female student then said that her classmate was Pham Quang Hoai. Last year, Nhi saw her friend acting sad and crying sometimes.
"Go home and ask your mother. She said that Hoai hasn't lived with her since she was little, and her father is sick. She has been raised by her grandparents since she was little, so you should help and encourage her.
We have been friends for two years now, and our homeroom teacher has been helping us a lot in our studies. But uncle! Two months ago, his grandfather, who is over 70 years old, got cancer, and things were already difficult, but now they are even more difficult.
When dad and grandma can't do anything, I'm afraid the hope for the two of them to continue going to school will gradually fade away without anyone's help," Nhi continued to write.
At the end of the letter, Bang Nhi shared that he was very worried about his friend and hoped that his uncle would support him with a scholarship so that he could be more confident in his studies.

The letter after being shared on social networks immediately received many people expressing emotions, sharing and commenting.
Most comments were very touched by the female student's kindness towards her less fortunate friend. Many also praised her family and school for "cultivating good character and personality" for the female student.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh, Principal of Phan Dinh Phung Secondary School (Vu Quang District, Ha Tinh Province), confirmed that the story that female student Bang Nhi wrote in her letter accurately reflected the difficult circumstances of her classmate, Pham Quang Hoai.
According to Mr. Thanh, Quang Hoai has lived with his father and grandparents since he was a child, and his family's circumstances are difficult. Hoai has an older brother who is in 10th grade, the two brothers lack their mother's love, and their father is not healthy.
At school, Quang Hoai is exempted from tuition fees and contributions. The school also regularly gives gifts and provides the best support for Hoai's studies.
"As for Bang Nhi, he is the class monitor of class 7A and an excellent student. When he saw his classmate's situation, Nhi wrote a letter to an uncle he once knew to ask for long-term help. We were very moved when we read the letter he wrote," Mr. Thanh shared.
