In addition, Nguyen Linh Chi also won the title of Outstanding Student of the 2021-2025 course of the Academy of Finance. “When I heard the news, I was very surprised and burst into tears,” Linh Chi shared.

In high school, she studied in group B with the hope of becoming a doctor. But when it came time to choose her aspirations and prepare for the high school graduation exam, Linh Chi fell into a state of not knowing what she really liked and what career she wanted to pursue. At that time, she started to research schools in other fields, had a new perspective on finance and currency, and finally chose the Academy of Finance.

Having studied all subjects fairly well, she was able to "change direction" even though her scores were not too high. "Before the Academy of Finance announced the admission score, there was a time when I thought I would fail. When I found out that I had just enough points to pass (26.1), I was overwhelmed. After that, listening to my friends share, I felt a bit self-conscious because my score was just enough to pass the Finance - Banking major. Right from that moment, I thought that my starting point might be low but I could not stay there forever. Now, after 4 years, I have successfully 'turned the tide'," Linh Chi said.

According to Chi, studying does not necessarily mean forcing yourself to follow someone else's method. "I used to study in the traditional way but found it unsuitable and ineffective. Since elementary school, I realized that and constantly changed my study method to find my own method," Chi said.

She often tries to concentrate and take advantage of class time to memorize the lesson content and key points as soon as the teacher explains. After class, Linh Chi re-reads the lesson and writes notes with a highlighter, highlighting key words to summarize.

Linh Chi said that her way of studying at home is quite special, even “when you hear it, people may not believe it”. “I am afraid that I will get sleepy and do other things, so I study and watch movies at the same time, sometimes watching several movies at the same time. I even watch the most movies during exam preparation. I feel that this helps me feel comfortable when studying, remember better and not feel sleepy”, Linh Chi said.

However, she believes that this learning method may not be suitable for everyone. “What I want to share is that young people should think and try many learning methods to see which learning method is really suitable for them; do not follow a rut or imitate anyone else's learning method,” Linh Chi said.

According to Linh Chi, an effective way to help her memorize faster and more easily is to use a multi-colored highlighter to take notes of important knowledge right in class, read it again 2-3 minutes later and right before the next class; the following days, Chi reviews it again so that when it's time to review for the exam, she doesn't have to cram a large amount of knowledge.

To make such a spectacular “reverse” move, Linh Chi is grateful for her family’s support. Since childhood, she has been accustomed to her parents working far away and living with her grandparents. The reminders “only by studying well will you not have to work hard and work far away” and the image of her relatives always waiting for her after each class have become the motivation for Chi to make constant efforts, not allowing herself to stop, but to move forward and change her life.

According to Chi, the past 4 years have proven that she made the right choice. In addition to studying, Chi actively participates in field trips to visit banks and attends workshops with "seniors" in the industry.

“During that time, I not only learned knowledge but also received guidance from teachers and seniors on working style, communication, life skills and how to stand out in the workplace. After 4 years, I am no longer a shy student who likes to hide, I have become an outgoing, active and confident person who can express myself in front of a crowd and quickly integrate into new environments,” Chi said.

According to Linh Chi, it is necessary to balance studying and resting, avoiding overexertion at the decisive stage. In addition, it is necessary to create a reasonable schedule for studying and participating in group and club activities, prioritizing important things; completing one task at a time.

Linh Chi also applies knowledge from books to professional competitions and scientific research topics to deeply remember and understand reality, helping to develop soft skills such as presentation, debate and quick thinking.

The deputy head of the administrative class CQ59/15.01 also won many awards such as: First prize in scientific research of the Banking - Insurance faculty; Encouragement prize at the Academy level for the 2024-2025 school year... Linh Chi is also the Deputy Head of the Professional Committee of the Young Leaders Club of the Academy of Finance.

“For me, this is a beautiful ending to my four years of university, but it is only the beginning of a difficult journey ahead. I always tell myself to keep trying, maintain my aspiration, enthusiasm and unyielding will,” Linh Chi said, adding that she will continue to develop her career in line with her major.

Linh Chi said that the graduation day was also the day she signed a labor contract and became an official employee of a large bank in Hanoi .
