The seminar was attended by many representatives of departments, researchers, experts, art practitioners and representatives of businesses operating in the fields of art, media, entertainment, tourism, etc.
The seminar focused on four main areas. In particular, Professor Phan Thi Thu Hien, senior lecturer of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, talked about the prospects for developing cultural industries, bringing the successful experience of Korea, thereby proposing a strategy for developing cultural industries in Ho Chi Minh City. For example, eight cultural industries (cinema, performing arts, fine arts, photography, exhibitions, advertising, cultural tourism, fashion) need to be systematically linked, analyzing strengths, weaknesses, potentials, opportunities, challenges, etc. It is necessary to identify the creative fields that the city is oriented to develop in order to participate in the global creative city network, building a city brand with high recognition and competitiveness in the region and the world.

People's Artist Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the film industry is a potential strength of the city with many businesses making efforts to invest, increasingly complete infrastructure, abundant human resources, ready to learn and integrate. She concluded that culture is increasingly becoming a "soft power" in national strength, especially when wanting to fight against the influence of foreign cultures, it is necessary to quickly promote the strength of national culture.
Dr. Truong Minh Huy Vu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies, talked about public-private investment in culture. Vietnam is a developing country with limited budget resources, so it is necessary to attract private resources to cultural development.
Meanwhile, lawyer Nguyen Son, Director of Legal Affairs of Cinestar, mentioned the issue of socialization in Ho Chi Minh City culture.
