Setting a record for Vietnam's culinary map with 126 specialty dishes

According to information from the Vietnam Record Organization, at the festival "Promoting Vietnamese culinary culture" taking place at the Reunification Palace (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), this unit has decided to announce 2 culinary records.

Specifically, the record of Vietnam's culinary and cultural map phase 2 with 126 typical specialties of 63 provinces and cities meticulously prepared by culinary artists right at the festival.

On this culinary map, there are many unique dishes, specialties of different regions such as: grilled sand lizard with salt and chili ( Binh Thuan ); catfish hotpot (Hau Giang); lam nho (Lai Chau) or familiar dishes, typical of the region such as: bun cha, bun dau mam tom (Hanoi), Saigon bread...

The second record is the online map with the largest number of Vietnamese dishes contributed by the community. This is an activity within the framework of the cooperation project to enhance Vietnamese cuisine called: Variations - thousands of ingredients, cooking millions of Vietnamese dishes, jointly implemented by the Maggi brand and the Tourism Information Center, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).

The Festival to Celebrate Vietnamese Culinary Culture takes place from October 20 to 22, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, the Saigon Professional Chefs Association, and the Center for Research, Preservation and Development of Vietnamese Cuisine.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said that the strategy for developing Vietnam's tourism until 2030 identifies culinary culture as the main cultural stream. Accordingly, the festival is an event that contributes to promoting Vietnamese cuisine to the world, contributing to promoting culinary tourism, making Vietnam an attractive destination for international tourists./.
