The case of "protection" of Kien Giang sea: Fisheries officer surrenders

Regarding the case of "protection" in Kien Giang sea area, on August 3, the Investigation Police Agency of Kien Giang Provincial Police coordinated with the Police of An Minh and Kien Luong districts to receive 2 subjects who surrendered for the act of "Giving and receiving bribes" due to their involvement in the case.

Specifically, on August 2, Dinh Thanh Lap (born in 1982, from Kien Giang), a long-term contract employee - a patrol and control crew member on a Fisheries Surveillance ship of the Fisheries Surveillance Sub-Department (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Kien Giang province) and LVL (from Kien Giang), a fisherman, both went to Kien Giang Provincial Police to surrender.

At the investigation agency, the two subjects above confessed to being involved in the "protection" line in the Kien Giang sea area carried out by Pham Minh Quyet, Tran Thanh Liem and their accomplices. In this case, the Investigation Police Agency of Kien Giang Province Police has so far investigated, prosecuted and detained 12 subjects. The case is still under further investigation.
