Vietnam has another AI development company

The event is considered a new development step of CMC in the field of AI, associated with national goals of digital transformation and innovation.

Speaking at the event, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that the combination of global and local will help our world develop more sustainably. And this is an opportunity for developing countries like Vietnam.

The Minister commented: “CMC OpenAI is a Vietnamese enterprise with the advantage of Vietnamese data and Vietnamese problems. Its advantage is open source AI code and its own advantage is Vietnamese people and Vietnamese intelligence.

The flexibility and responsiveness of Vietnamese culture is the most needed and important thing in an era where technology is creating rapid and disruptive changes. CMC's bet on AI is the right strategic decision."

Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in scientific development, innovation and digital transformation clearly states the goal that by 2030 Vietnam will be among the top 3 ASEAN countries in AI research and development.

In that roadmap, key technology enterprises are assigned the responsibility of pioneering the development of core technologies, platforms and AI applications.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of CMC Corporation, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, said that the launch of CMC OpenAI Company marks a new step forward for the corporation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

The C-OpenAI platform is built on 25 technologies developed by CMC, operating on CMC Cloud infrastructure and data center system, to ensure data sovereignty.

The company aims to apply AI in the fields of law, healthcare, education, finance and public administration. CMC aims to become a global AI technology corporation by 2028, with revenue of over 1 billion USD and more than 10,000 employees.

The birth of C-OpenAI is part of the AI ​​Transformation (AI-X) strategy announced by CMC in 2024, following activities such as developing CMC Cloud, building data centers and international cooperation.
