Huynh Nhu scores a goal for the Vietnamese women's team after nearly 2 years - Source:FPT PLAY
On the evening of August 19, the Vietnamese women's team won 3-1 against Thailand to take third place at the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship.
Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team had a match that completely dominated their opponents. More notably, striker Huynh Nhu, after nearly 2 years, also "fired" again in the national team's jersey.
In the 65th minute, Nguyen Thi Van made a technical pass for Huynh Nhu to escape and face her. Her first shot failed to beat goalkeeper Homyamyen. However, Huynh Nhu was lucky when the ball bounced back and her second shot brought a goal.
